Analysis of cell divisions of TuJ and GFAP expressing cells, and TuJ and GFAP-negative cells in response to LIF. (A-F): CFSE intensity distribution histograms comparing control cultures (no LIF) with LIF-treated cultures for TuJ-positive (A,B), GFAP-positive (C,D), and TuJ & GFAP-negative (E,F) cells. The distribution shifts indicate that TuJ and GFAP-expressing cells retained more CFSE label in LIF-treated cultures when compared with untreated cultures. The TuJ & GFAP-negative cells retained less label, suggesting that these cells underwent more divisions in response to LIF. (G-H): CFSE signals (green) in TuJ-positive cells (red).
