From: Knockout of ERK5 causes multiple defects in placental and embryonic development
Analysis of apoptosis in the head of ERK5-/- embryos. The level of apoptosis in E9.75 embryos were analyses by whole mount TUNEL staining. These showed that there was greatly increased apoptosis in the ERK5-/- embryos compared to wild type littermate controls.
