Dividing mesencephalic progenitor cells did not express miR-9. The right half of the mesencephalon was electroporated with miR-9 sensor DFRS-S9 ex ovo at HH10. a shows a dorsal view the midbrain at HH14. Both, midbrain cells (in box) and NCC (arrows) were transfected. (b-f) are magnifications of the marked area in (a) and show the process of a cell division. The time distance between the pictures is indicated above in the time within the video and the absolute time for the cell division. Several of the neuroepthelial cells express only GFP (white arrows) some express GFP and RFP (white arrowheads). b-f show a dividing cell that expressed both, GFP and RFP and thus no miR-9.
