Table 4 Expression of markers for trophoblast subpopulations and invasion relevant ligand-receptor systems in HLA-G positive versus HLA-G negative ACH-3P, and in HLA-G positive versus HLA-G negative primary trophoblasts (i.e. EVT vs. VCT). Expression was measured by RT-PCR. The fold change values refer to the HLA-G negative cells (= 1). Direction of expression changes of well studied genes in EVT versus VCT are indicated with arrows and according to literature. Because of the low yield of primary trophoblast preparations only genes with differential expression between the ACH-3P subpopulations were investigated.
