  1. Serial sections (1 every 5/embryo) were processed by immunohistochemical detection of endogenous p27 and p19 viral proteins. Three of the four flocks tested showed embryos positive for endogenous viral expression. The percentage of positive embryos varied among the flocks. In all positive embryos, p27 and p19 were co-expressed.
