Inhibitors of ion-transport mechanisms exert influence on the Vmem in the FCE during S10b (WFM-experiment; DiBAC). a WFM-fluorescence images were used to measure the fluorescence intensity in the columnar FCE of every single follicle. The measured area was as shown in Fig. 3 a. While verapamil led to strong hyperpolarisation, amiloride, bafilomycin, 9-anthroic acid, and furosemide led to slight hyperpolarisation. The hyperpolarising effect of glibenclamide was not significant (cf. Additional file 2: Table S4).
