Vascular fragmentation and internal hemorrhaging in Tie2Cre+/-Srff/fembryos. Higher magnification photographs of whole unfixed, unstained mouse embryos as in Figure 1; embryos were examined at E12.5 (A, B) and E13.5 (C-H). Tie2Cre+/-Srff/fmutant embryos (B, D, F, H) exhibited blood pooling (asterisks) and loss of visible vascular structures (arrowheads mark similar vessels; compare A & B, C & D, E & F, and G & H).
