Comparison of the exon structure and homology of mouse Talia with human XE7. Homology between exons is indicated by dashed vertical bars, with the highest sequence conservation between exon 3 of Talia and exon 2 of XE7 (darker bars). Two splice variants have been demonstrated for XE7, as indicated. The inclusion of exon 5, which contains two in-frame stop codons, is predicted to result in a truncated protein [23].
