N: total number of embryos, no ter : number of embryos showing no terminal neuromasts and considered to be abnormal, 0–2, 3–4 and 5–6 NM: proportion of abnormal embryos presenting respectively 0–2, 3–4 and 5–6 neuromasts. Normal embryos present 7–8 neuromasts of which 5 are aligned along the myoseptum and 2–3 are present ventrally at the tip of the tail.
