  1. Embryos were fixed at approximately 1 dpf and processed for whole mount in situ hybridization with an antisense probes to otx5, ctsl1b, and col2a1a. *WT embryos are a mixture of uninjected embryos, embryos injected with 2.4 pg of mGFP mRNA and embryos injected with 2.4 pg Taram-A* mRNA. MZoep embryos were injected with between 0.15 and 2.4 pg of Taram-A* mRNA, with the results for all doses grouped together or with 2.4 pg of mGFP mRNA. Whether hatching gland (hg) and notochord (nc) cells are present (+) or absent (-) is indicated.
