  1. Embryos were fixed at 1–3 dpf (for sqt), 1 dpf (for cyc, Zoep, MZoep, and pac), or 2–4 dpf (for glo), and then processed for whole mount in situ hybridization with a pineal specific probe (otx5, flh, gnat1, gnat2) or antibody staining with the pineal photoreceptor specific antibody zpr1.
  2. *Embryos with two normal eyes could be homozygous WT, heterozygous for sqtcz35, or homozygous for sqtcz35.
