S100 immunoreactive glial cells which ensheath the nerve (FITC, A) colocalize with trypsin immunoreactivity (Texas Red, arrowheads delineating staining) of the vomeronasal nerve. Arrows point to glial cell bodies or their processes. C. This co-localization is best seen in an overlay where the double labeled glial cell bodies and their processes are yellow (double arrows). There is also red fluorescence external to the glia, most likely in the extracellular matrix. Scale bar= 100 μm.
