A) msy4 and thmg-1 are broadly expressed in differentiating male germ cells. Arrows indicate cells that lack thmg-1 expression. Cells lacking both msy4 and thmg-1 (inset) are likely to be somatic cells associated with the testes. B) msy4 transcripts are detected in all germ cell stages, tplh transcripts are enriched in spermatocytes and spermatids.
