(A) Wild-type cells were developed on phosphate buffer on Millipore filters and collected after 2 and 12 hours of development. The point 0 h represents wild-type cells in the early exponential phase of growth. The ratios are relative to transcript levels detected at 0 h (1 × 106 cells/mL). (B) Wild-type cells were grown in the presence of bacteria and collected by differential centrifugation after 44, 47 and 50 hours from plating. At 50 h plates were cleared of bacteria and development started. The ratios are relative to transcript levels detected at 44 hours.
