  1. *The breeding was carried out with a heterozygote-heterozygote base. The cages were observed periodically, and the parameters shown in column 1 were recorded. Only the bodies seen dead were counted as dead mice in litter size determination.
  2. The percentage was compared to the theoretical number 100%. P < 0.0001 by binomial test.
  3. **Pregnancy was indicated by a positive plug and a big belly, but the litter size is sometimes zero here.
